The 2017 competition is organized by the University College of Southeast Norway in close cooperation with the sponsors of the event.
The town of Horten has a long history of shipbuilding and a strong technical maritime industry that started with establishing the Horten naval base in 1818. Demand for technical skilled workers led to the start of a technical and practical school in 1855 that later merged into the University College.
Welcome to WRSC & IRSC 2017
The 10th World Robotic Sailing Championship and International Robotic Sailing Conference will be held September 4th to 8th in Horten, Norway. The competition is open to non-motorized autonomous boats up to 4m long using only wind as propulsion.
The 4 days of competition will be held in Horten Inner harbour and the conference is hosted at the University College of Southeast Norway also located in Horten.
